This morning at The Lyceum in Hartford, Diane Dunne addressed a group of nonprofits on the necessity and challenges of systematically evaluating programs like CRIS Radio.
On April 22 volunteers from CRIS Radio teamed up with employees of Comcast on Comcast Cares Day to help spruce up Smith Elementary School in New Britain. This is part of a statewide event for Comcast that brings partners together for a day of volunteerism.
15 CRIS volunteers pitched in for a couple of hours, painting classrooms, planting flowers and eating doughnuts. Comcast has been a great friend of CRIS, running PSAs, providing grant money, making their technology and hardware available to expand CRIS services. Agreeing to partner with them was a little way to say thank you back.
