A note from Joanne Nesti

Dear Friends at CRIS Radio:

I am so sorry I can’t be with you tonight to express my gratitude personally for this recognition as a 35-year CRIS volunteer.  My relationship with this organization is on of the longest of my life, and I will always be grateful to the friends at WTIC Radio who suggested CRIS to me all those years ago.  In the early 1980’s, a wonderful newsman named Alan Sagal, who left us too soon, said I should accompany him to a small brick building on Jordan Lane in Wethersfield to see what CRIS was all about.  “This is something a lot of us do,” he said, “and you should do it too.”  I’m very glad I did.  Alan would have been so pleased at the way CRIS continues to grow and prosper and serve its listeners. Congratulations to all the CRIS volunteers, especially those being honored tonight with milestone awards. We have much to celebrate and be thankful for.

Sincerely,

Joanne
