Today in Hartford: Meet the Artisans: Blind and Senior Weavers

Join the Hartford Artisans Weaving Center to tour the “Time to Try Tied Weaves” exhibit with the artisans who wove the pieces.

The exhibit is located on the 3rd floor glass cases outside of the Hartford History Center at the Downtown Hartford Public Library, 500 Main Street, Hartford.

The Hartford Artisans Weaving Center teaches the ancient craft of hand-weaving, and runs a unique program for the blind, and anyone over 55. Each piece in the exhibit was woven by one of those artisans. We hope you will join us to meet the artisans, enjoy their beautiful creations, and learn more about the therapeutic benefits of weaving.
