The Teutons are of Aryan descent and cam from Asia before the dawn of history. First mention is made of them about 330 B C when they were described as living between the Rhine and the Baltic Sea. They were said to be of tall stature fair complexion and to have yellow or red hair. They were of great strength and fond of fighting. Their homes were among the trees in rude huts. The women were required to do most of the work.

War between the United States and Germany was proclaimed by the President of the United States, April 6, 1917. After referring to laws of the United States which empower him to. restrain or remove enemy subjects, and to make regulations, the President, among other things, appeals to Americans to uphold the laws of this land of Freedom, calls attention to the fact that war has been thrust upon the Nation, and instructs and orders the subjects of the country with which the United States is at war, as follows:

Cutting The Meat Bills With Milk

Milk is not the cheapest of all foods, but it is cheaper than meat or eggs. Combined with cereal or bread it is cheaper than milk alone. Cereal alone is cheaper still, but not so  inviting. It is true economy to combine milk with cheaper foods and substitute it occasionally in place of more expensive foods.
