On April 22 volunteers from CRIS Radio teamed up with employees of Comcast on Comcast Cares Day to help spruce up Smith Elementary School in New Britain. This is part of a statewide event for Comcast that brings partners together for a day of volunteerism.
15 CRIS volunteers pitched in for a couple of hours, painting classrooms, planting flowers and eating doughnuts. Comcast has been a great friend of CRIS, running PSAs, providing grant money, making their technology and hardware available to expand CRIS services.
