On April 22 volunteers from CRIS Radio teamed up with employees of Comcast on Comcast Cares Day to help spruce up Smith Elementary School in New Britain. This is part of a statewide event for Comcast that brings partners together for a day of volunteerism.
15 CRIS volunteers pitched in for a couple of hours, painting classrooms, planting flowers and eating doughnuts. Comcast has been a great friend of CRIS, running PSAs, providing grant money, making their technology and hardware available to expand CRIS services. Agreeing to partner with them was a little way to say thank you back.
The 20th CRIS Golf Classic is in the books: the record books. More sponsors, more golfers, more fun. The middle of October provided perfect golf weather for 101 CRIS superstars.
