CRISKids for Schools kicked off the 2018 school year by offering a professional development (PD) session to 78 teachers from Enfield. The session was developed and led by long time CRISKids users Lauren Lieberman and Cassandra Hunt, both of Kennelly School in Hartford.
The PD was hosted by Educational Resources for Children (ERfC) and funded through grants from the Fund for Greater Hartford and The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
The Mark Twain House and Museum and CRISAccess have teamed up to provide additional accessibility to the Hartford bard’s old digs. Audio recorded by CRIS volunteers now reads signs from the museum for people with smart devices.
CRIS launched two of its internet streams at St. Francis Hospital, making the CRIS Radio and CRIS en Español available to every patient in the hospital over their bedside cable system.

World War I Archives Made Accessible with Audio Recordings
CRIS Radio, the IDEAL Group, and the Connecticut State Library (CSL) are working together on a collaborative pilot project to improve access to archival records and historical documents for individuals with print disabilities. Read more.
